Congratulation Victoria Langley, Cadet Player for winning the L. FLOYD BARTON SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD
This award was established in 1995 and is in memory of Floyd Barton, umpire and special friend of softball. He gave freely of his time and talents to the game and the players. His love of the game was contagious. He gave the players a sense of fair play, the value of team spirit, and encouragement to follow the rules. Many players grew up with Floyd “behind the plate”. He was considered a friend by everyone and will be sorely missed by all.
Each area in the G.L.A.S.A.G.S.L. nominates, from their own teams, one girl per division for the F.B.S.A. The nomination is based on sportsmanship, attitude, participation and other similar qualities.
